Improve Work Processes with the New PLANTA pulse Version
| Translated by Julian Hammer
Integration of Applications, Processes, and Documents with Integromat and Microsoft 365
The new version of the agile PLANTA pulse project management software comes with substantial new features which improve the user workflow and enhance collaboration, e.g. through the option to interlink applications and to edit documents together from anywhere. These simplified work processes are of great advantage, especially in times of increasing mobile work and work in dispersed teams.
PLANTA pulse can be used both as an agile project management and collaboration tool as well as in hybrid form in combination with PLANTA project via SaaS or on-premises. There are three different editions of PLANTA pulse: Free, Premium, Hybrid. Even the free version comes with an unlimited number of boards as well as numerous functions for task structuring.
Workflow Automation with Integromat
PLANTA pulse is now available as an app on Integromat (Premium Feature). This online integration tool allows you to seamlessly link PLANTA pulse with different applications. Without programming effort whatsoever, manual work processes can be automated and repetitive activities can be omitted.
You can, e.g., use an integromat to automate the workflow in hotline queries. You can have a card created in a PLANTA pulse board for each incoming e‑mail in your hotline address. This way you can set up a workflow for hotline request editing which will save you a lot of time. The integromat link will take care of the unpleasant task of copying information from e‑mails to the Kanban board.
There are many more use cases: Developers can track the status of important development tasks in GitHub and create cards in PLANTA pulse. Task cards can also be created automatically for Jira issues in PLANTA pulse via integromat API. Project managers can, e.g., have incoming mails by customers and their attachments displayed in the relevant pulse board of the project so that all project team members can have a look at the new documents. By connecting the mailbox via integromat to the agile project management tool PLANTA pulse, the project manager saves time and no longer get stuck between e‑mail and project tool.
Microsoft 365 Integration with OneDrive
The new Microsoft 365 integration for PLANTA pulse enables location-independent document management: Attachments from OneDrive can now be linked to cards in PLANTA pulse and documents can be shared and edited collaboratively in real-time. An enormous facilitation for team work, especially in home office and in dispersed project teams.
Users, which use the Microsoft cloud service for data storage can simply integrate MS 365 via the API in PLANTA pulse. A OneDrive business license is required.
Onboarding Process
Using PLANTA pulse has already been quite intuitive, with the new welcome board, an extended onboarding-process now facilitates the first steps in the agile project and collaboration tool for all users. All substantial functions will be presented to the user in an individual demo project with welcome board and can be tested there at his/her leisure. The demo project is only visible to the user and supplements the previous user onboarding by interactive tutorials.
Further improvements in the new software version concern optimizations in calendar function and time recording as well as optimization in PLANTA pulse-REST-API and bug fix.
Details on the current releases can be found in the Release Notes in PLANTA’s online documentation. The new versions can be downloaded in the customer area of the website.
Here you can test the SaaS editions of PLANTA pulse for free.
