| Translated by Julian Hammer
Plan more clearly. Evaluate better. Decide faster.
With the current release of PLANTA Project 39.5.26 (26 for short), we are providing numerous improvements and new functions that will make your daily work with PLANTA more efficient, transparent, and convenient.
We have summarized the most important highlights for you below.
New Versioning Scheme
We are now using semantic versioning (major.minor.patch). The current software version is 26.0.0. The documentation refers to the major version, while changes at the minor or patch level are continuously incorporated into the existing documentation.
Improvements in Project & Portfolio
Functionality enhancements and improvements:
- Direct cost and revenue posting from transaction data sheets
- Deep linking has been extended to the portfolio area
Comprehensive Expansion of Risk Management
Risk management handling has been significantly improved. More detailed tooltips, new traffic light fields, and a uniform display provide a better overview. Detailed information on the displayed evaluation figures can now be accessed quickly and easily.
Highlight: AI support for recording risks and opportunities
For projects using AI, PLANTA Project now offers the option of automatically suggesting risks, opportunities, and measures based on previously recorded project information.
This facilitates:
- the identification of risks
- the evaluation of opportunities
- the creation of suitable packages of measures
Visibility of responsibilities
The persons responsible for the risks and measures have these objects displayed in their own tasks and therefore have quick access to them.
Optimized matrix and chart displays
The graphical evaluations for risks and opportunities have been adapted to the extended evaluation model. Traffic light displays have also been added to portfolio overviews and the matrix display for qualitative evaluations has been revised.
Uniform display across project and portfolio levels
The risk area in portfolio views has been aligned with the display in projects.
Improved management of measures
Measure management has been expanded and now allows for a differentiated view.
PM Administration
- Avatar images are automatically transferred via LDAP. Changes take effect immediately without manual maintenance in PLANTA.
- Performance improvements in MS-SQL enable the automatic transfer of absence data.
- Changing personal and user IDs has been rendered much more convenient.
Further usability improvements
- Optimized display of date and time information
- Special characters are now permitted in technical project IDs
- Control icons have been adapted to common standards
Webclient
The functions in the web client have been expanded and optimized. Column editing and the search function have been improved. Images can now also be uploaded. Overall, usability has been significantly increased.
Conclusion
Version 26 offers you a release with real functional gains – especially in the areas of project planning, portfolio analysis, and risk management.
