Generational Change in PLANTA’s Management: Günter Matthes hands over the reins to Snezana Spasenovic
At the turn of the year, company founder Günter Matthes has withdrawn from the management board of PLANTA Projektmanagement-Systeme GmbH and has passed over the reins to Snezana Spasenovic who now leads the company as managing director. Mrs. Spasenovic already became a member of the management board in 2015 after she had been working in positions of responsibility in the company for 20 years. She started as a consultant and later assumed a position in the operative management of different departments.
Günther Matthes founded the software company for project management systems in 1980 in the course of a BMFT research project at the Karlsruhe University. He substantially developed the customizing component which allows customers to adapt the project management software to their company-specific requirements.
Since 1980, the owner-run business has seen a growth from 4 to more than 50 employees and from 2 to 600 customers. Since 1996, PLANTA has a subsidiary in Switzerland. PLANTA has become one of the leading providers of project and portfolio management software in Europe. Internationally operating customers use the software all over the world.
