New Manage­ment at PLANTA

Gene­ra­tio­nal Chan­ge in PLANTA’s Manage­ment: Gün­ter Matthes hands over the reins to Sne­z­a­na Spasenovic

At the turn of the year, com­pa­ny foun­der Gün­ter Matthes has with­drawn from the manage­ment board of PLANTA Pro­­jek­t­­ma­­na­ge­­ment-Sys­­te­­me GmbH and has pas­sed over the reins to Sne­z­a­na Spa­sen­o­vic who now leads the com­pa­ny as mana­ging direc­tor. Mrs. Spa­sen­o­vic alre­a­dy beca­me a mem­ber of the manage­ment board in 2015 after she had been working in posi­ti­ons of respon­si­bi­li­ty in the com­pa­ny for 20 years. She star­ted as a con­sul­tant and later assu­med a posi­ti­on in the ope­ra­ti­ve manage­ment of dif­fe­rent departments.

Gün­ther Matthes foun­ded the soft­ware com­pa­ny for pro­ject manage­ment sys­tems in 1980 in the cour­se of a BMFT rese­arch pro­ject at the Karls­ru­he Uni­ver­si­ty. He sub­stan­ti­al­ly deve­lo­ped the cus­to­mi­zing com­po­nent which allows cus­to­mers to adapt the pro­ject manage­ment soft­ware to their com­­pa­­ny-spe­ci­­fic requirements.

Sin­ce 1980, the owner-run busi­ness has seen a growth from 4 to more than 50 employees and from 2 to 600 cus­to­mers. Sin­ce 1996, PLANTA has a sub­si­dia­ry in Switz­er­land. PLANTA has beco­me one of the lea­ding pro­vi­ders of pro­ject and port­fo­lio manage­ment soft­ware in Euro­pe. Inter­na­tio­nal­ly ope­ra­ting cus­to­mers use the soft­ware all over the world.
