Links in Project Management – Definition and Meaning
In project management, a link (also referred to as a dependency) defines the logical relationship between individual project activities and determines their sequence. Links are used to structure and control the project flow. They are typically visualized in network diagrams or schedules and specify the type of dependency, such as finish-to-start (FS) or start-to-finish (SF).

In a manufacturing project, for example, a link may define that assembly cannot start until all required components have been delivered (a finish-to-start relationship).
