Your tasks

You are respon­si­ble for the main­ten­an­ce of our tech­ni­cal infra­struc­tu­re at all levels (vir­tu­al ser­ver in the cloud, phy­si­cal IT infra­struc­tu­re at our pre­mi­ses in Karls­ru­he), 2nd level sup­port for work­place sys­tems and IT sup­port for > 50 employees. Your tasks include the set­up of com­ple­te work­places and working envi­ron­ments, the desig­ning and con­ti­nuous moder­niza­ti­on of our IT infra­struc­tu­re, as well as the moni­to­ring and ope­ra­ti­on of all net­work com­pon­ents (hard­ware, LAN, WiFi, rou­ter, fire­wall, VPN). You will fur­ther­mo­re super­vi­se trai­nees. You will also work with exter­nal experts whe­re­ver necessary.

You have

  • trai­ning in infor­ma­tics, late­ral ent­rance pos­si­ble with a cer­tain degree of experience
  • pro­found know­ledge of cur­rent ope­ra­ting sys­tems like Win­dows, Linux 
  • at least two years of pro­fes­sio­nal expe­ri­ence in the imple­men­ta­ti­on, admi­nis­tra­ti­on, and main­ten­an­ce of IT solutions
  • an inte­rest in AWS, con­tai­ner tech­no­lo­gy, Micro­soft 365, VMWare VSphe­re, DBMS like Ora­cle or SQL Server
  • good com­mand of Ger­man and Eng­lish (spo­ken and written)
  • ser­vice and solu­ti­on-ori­en­ted way of thin­king, strong com­mu­ni­ca­ti­on skills
