für PLANTA Schweiz in Winterthur

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team in Winterthur, Switzerland, either immediately or by mutual agreement. You will support our company in the bespoke, requirements-driven implementation and further development of our proprietary project and portfolio management software, PLANTA, for our clients in Switzerland.

Who we are:

PLANTA Projektmanagement-Systeme GmbH is one of the leading providers of enterprise project management software on the European market. For more than 45 years, PLANTA has been offering industry-agnostic software solutions for enterprise-wide project management.

Today, PLANTA software is used by approximately 80,000 users and under approximately 800 corporate licences, primarily in Germany, Switzerland and other European countries. The main areas of application are IT, development and research departments, mechanical and plant engineering, and controlling departments within medium-sized and large enterprises.

The company’s core business is the development and distribution of the multi-project management software PLANTA Project, along with the associated consultancy, implementation, customisation and training services.

Your responsibilities:

  • Project management for the customisation and implementation of PLANTA Project and PLANTA Enterprise. In addition to the standard requirements for a project manager, we place great emphasis on strong service skills, active listening and a deep understanding of our clients’ needs and requirements.
  • The ability to work well in a team and a solution-oriented approach to collaboration are central to our philosophy.
  • Further development and customisation of PLANTA solutions using PLANTA’s own customiser
  • Development in SQL (database logic, complex queries, performance optimisations)
  • Development in Python (scripting, automations, integrations)
  • Testing and ensuring the quality of our solutions
  • Technical development of existing solutions
  • Helping to shape standards and best practices in development
You combine your practical customer experience with state-of-the-art technical knowledge and actively contribute this to the further development of our standards.

You will have:

  • A degree in Computer Science from a university of applied sciences or equivalent qualification
  • Solid development experience (essential)
  • Knowledge of SQL and experience with Python
  • A willingness to familiarise yourself thoroughly with how the PLANTA software works. Ideally, you will already have some knowledge of PLANTA
  • Project management experience, ideally as a project manager in the context of software implementations
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and traditional PM standards (IPMA, PMI, PRINCE2, HERMES) is an advantage
  • Experience in the service sector and a confident manner in client workshops
  • Skilled in liaising with IT departments and business stakeholders, and in translating client requirements into viable concepts
  • Experience in architecture and technology decision-making is an advantage
  • Fluent German; English and/or French are a plus
  • Highly customer-focused with strong consulting and communication skills
  • Team-oriented, flexible personality willing to take on responsibility beyond one’s own remit and actively contribute to the company’s collective success

Who is not suited to this role:

  • Pure project managers without technical development skills
  • Pure developers with no interest in project management
  • People with no experience of SQL
  • People without a customer-focused mindset

We offer you:

  • Open corporate communication with flat hierarchies
  • A high degree of personal responsibility and the opportunity to make a direct impact
  • The option to work in the office or remotely (following an induction period); you will be expected to be in the office at least two days a week
  • Individual development and training opportunities within the company
  • The opportunity to actively shape the company and build a long-term career
  • Flexible working hours and a good work-life balance
  • Professional onboarding

  • Fair Company
