In the third PPM Tools Practical Test undertaken by the Swiss company CSP AG, PLANTA achieved the best overall score. In a comparison of 10 PPM systems in the market –
including CA PPM, MS Project and Projektron BCS, PLANTA was placed first in 12 out of 15 evaluation criteria. The survey was divided into three thematic fields in which the
PPM tools were compared: “Management Cockpit”, “PPM Cockpit”, and “Project Cockpit”. PLANTA takes the leading role in all three areas.

In the category “Standard Version”, the cross-industry project management and project portfolio software PLANTA Project and PLANTA Portfolio was also rated as best product.
The German based software house’s solution provides its customers with a rapid implementation, and the opportunity to adapt the software allowing customers to display their
own individual processes and requirements quickly and flexibly in the system.

The main focus of the 3rd PPM tools practical test, which took place in Zurich, Switzerland, during November 2016, was the topic “Management Cockpit”. This being a key issue for project managers aiming at systematically planning and controlling the organizational project portfolio using a PPM tool. PLANTA Portfolio provides a quick overview of the status of existing portfolios and helps management select the “best” projects for investment based on their contribution to the corporate strategy, their overall risk together with other factors from the business case.

PLANTA achieved absolute best scores in the topics of prioritization, portfolio by criteria, display of project status and project process. In the topics of “Portfolio by Status”, “Project Process” and “Project Risks”, PLANTA established a significant lead (over 10%) in comparison with other project portfolio management tools.

This was the third time that PLANTA has successfully taken part in this Swiss PPM tools practical test, and has once again proven its value as a top PPM tool. What makes this success all the more impressive is that the focus of the test is on the value of the tool in the day-to-day operational context. 75 participants from a wide variety of industries were responsible for assessing the PPM tools using a catalogue of standardized criteria.

“We are delighted with this excellent result”, said Snezana Spasenovic, Managing Director of PLANTA. “Our traditionally close contacts with customers and the constant
improvement in our products based on their experience, has once again proven to be a particular strength of our company.” PPM practice tests offer tool suppliers a valuable
opportunity to allow their product to be compared with other tools by participants from industry on a common evaluation basis.
