Project Management
In PLANTA Project, the basic data on
resources, costs and revenues, the calendars and the standard project
structures are available centrally, with network plans. Once entered, these can
be used in all projects, thus speeding up project planning.
On the basis of details stored in
calendars, defining the working days and hours, PLANTA Project calculates all
the scheduled due-dates and buffer times, taking into account prescribed
due-dates and capacity considerations.
countermeasures.
Project manager role
The project
manager is responsible for planning and executing his or her projects.
Potential problems during the progress of the project must be identified in
good time by the project manager, so that timely countermeasures can be initiated.
The fact that
all information relating to the project, such as project attributes, key dates,
descriptive data such as risks and opportunities, and evaluation data such as
objective contribution and risk value, is displayed to the project manager under
Project Contents.
PLANTA Project
provides comprehensive support for project manager tasks. As a result,
deviations from project planning can be avoided.
Project planning
and monitoring

Working out detailed timing, cost and resource
plans
·
Delegating sub-projects to sub-project managers
·

Project progress monitoring, early warning
system with ‘traffic lights’

News & Notes
The current project status with open items
and change requests from those involved in the project, as well as forecasts
for additional effort by project team members, are displayed to the project

‘Traffic light’ status and comments
such as estimates by the project manager, dates, milestones, effort, costs

Costs and budget
All information relating to the project
budget is displayed in a clear way, e.g. cost details, cost type groups, key

with the current project status (Earned Value analysis).

Milestone trend
analysis
The milestone
trend analysis is a sophisticated forecast tool for deadline controlling.
